A Persona 5 anime has been announced – “Persona 5 the Animation” – to be produced by A-1 Pictures. Thankfully, the original Japanese voice actors will be reprising their roles.
In the lead up to the Persona Super Live Sound Bomb!!!! 2017 event, Atlus have held an additional event to kick things off. Known as The Attic Meeting of Cafe Leblanc 「銃喫茶ラブラン屋根裏作戦会議」 – it ended up being the announcing zone for the Persona 5 anime adaption.
According to Famitsu, A-1 Pictures will be handling the adaption, with plans to retain the original Japanese voice actors. A-1 Pictures have handled a number of Persona related anime adaptions, and have a fair amount of experience with Atlus – so hopefully their style is to your liking.
It’s not clear what direction the Persona 5 anime will head down. However, Famitsu have noted to stay tuned to their home page for further updates. Persona 5 The Animation is slated for a 2018 release.
