With less than 1 day until the Japanese Festival Eve Splatfest event kicks off, we now have confirmation of the four Splatfest Stages that will be playable.
Tomorrows Splatfest Stages will be split into 2 hour rotations, with 2 stages selected at random in each slot – a total of 4. That should give seasoned players plenty of time to get adjusted and acclimated new play-styles. However, the last part of this Tweet indicates that these stage will be Splatfest exclusive – which seems like a bit of a waste. Hopefully they’re just referencing the stages colour and theme.
ガンガゼ野外音楽堂 is literally “Black Longspine Urchin Outdoor Concert Hall” – a mouthful.
アマ美術大学 translates to “Female Diver College of Arts” – that’s very specific.
コンブ is the Japanese word for Kelp, so this stage is titled Kelp Truck.
Finally, タチウオ「太刀魚」パーキング is the short way of saying “Largehead Hairtail Parking”.
Wondering why the stage names sound so strange? That’s because they’re literal Japanese translations – we should have English stage names shortly.
Playable stages for the Festival Eve Splatfest – for the first 2 hours, “Urchin Concert Hall” and “Divers College”, and for the last 2 hours, “Kelp Truck” and “Beltfish Parking”, with either being selected at random. Of course, these stages are limited to the Splatfest!
